The Family Violence Prevention (FVP) Program provides culturally grounded, trauma-informed support to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and gender-based violence.
We offer one-on-one support, advocacy, safety planning, and resource navigation, while centering healing through culture, connection, and community.
Our team is committed to supporting people of all genders. We acknowledge that 2SLGBTQ+ communities face distinct and systemic barriers when navigating family violence, and we provide support that is intentional, affirming, and grounded in respect for lived experience. As part of our commitment to anti-violence work, we believe it is essential to advocate for queer-specific policies and services. We invite 2SLGBT+ people to enquire about queer-specific services we provide. We understand that leaving is a non-linear process. Our support is guided by your needs and goals, whether you are staying, exploring your options, or have already left.
We believe that culture is an essential part of healing. Through our program, clients can access cultural supports, participate in ceremonies, engage in land-based healing, and connect with Elders.
We also foster connection and collective healing through wellness days, cultural workshops, healing circles, and community events.
