Elders Health and Wellness Program
Our Urban Indigenous Elders program provides physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being . The Elders Health and Wellness Coordinator provides the following services: Smudging and cultural support.
We host socials with like-minded Elders from community for community meals and Bingo, home visits as needed, transportation support for shopping through our Here and There Ride Program. Foot and health care needs and orthotic assessments as well as diabetic needs assessed. Land-based outings to harvest sage and birch bark. Canning events for storing fish and fruit. Fundraising activities include chili and bannock sales and selling of our Indigenous crafts. We collaborate with our ECD and Youth program to promote healthy connection for the youth and Elders. We are a busy and fun group of Elders.

Cultural Education Coordinator
Our Cultural Education Coordinator provides culturally appropriate services that promote and ensure positive educational experiences for aboriginal students through the Four Directions Storefront School, and School District #73. One of the objectives is to reduce the number of high school drop outs, and to assist Aboriginal students to successfully graduate.
The Cultural Education Coordinator will offer support and assistance to Aboriginal Education Support workers and together they are all involved in the planning and organization of cultural events. The Coordinator possesses a multitude of Indigenous traditional knowledge and teachings.
